We’re looking for a talented, experienced HR professional
to join our team. You will be a trusted advisor to our clients, using your HR
experience and consulting skills to solve their most critical business
challenges, while championing their mission and objectives. This will entail
understanding the needs of emerging growth companies and channeling your
passion for helping those companies in today’s market.




Murdock Martell, Inc. is a leading financial consulting
and recruiting firm that provides solutions to established and emerging growth
companies. We represent some of the strongest companies in the Bay Area with an
emphasis in technology and life sciences start-ups.

We are looking for part-time of 25 hours.




You will have responsibilities to direct and manage all
aspects of HR for our clients including employee policies and procedures,
discipline/termination, performance management, employee relations,
compensation programs, benefits development and administration, worker’s
compensation and safety and HR administration. Other duties may include:




Prepare or maintain employment
records related to events such as hiring, termination, leaves, transfers, or
promotions, using human resources management system software


Interpret and explain human
resources policies, procedures, laws, standards, or regulations


On board employees and process
hiring-related paperwork


Address employee relations
issues, such as harassment allegations, work complaints, or other employee


Maintain current knowledge of
federal, state and local area laws


Schedule or conduct new employee
orientations and/or trainings


Confer with management to develop
or implement personnel policies or procedures


Maintain and update human
resources documents, such as organizational charts, employee handbooks or
directories, or performance evaluation forms






Bachelor’s degree required plus
one of the following active certifications: PHR/SPHR and/or SHRM-CP/SCP


At least 5 years of Human
Resources experience.


Must be able to travel within
assigned region






Strong client relationship and
interpersonal skills


Proven ability to lead
conversations with executive-level client contacts


Excellent analytical and time
management skills


Negotiation and problem-solving


Excellent communication skills –
both verbal and written including strong skills in persuasion and motivation


Google knowledge
