We currently have an opening for a Senior Accountant with our client, a successful software start-up in San Francisco.  The company has raised an estimated 45M over the last 3 years and has nearly 120 employees.  This is an opportunity to be part of a fast-paced start-up with a clear goal, supportive team, strong leadership and excellent work-life balance.  In this role, you’ll own and play a significant role in all accounting functions, as well as help to define processes, procedures, and future expansion. As a Senior Accountant, you will:

       Conduct full cycle month-end close cycle, including but not limited to bank reconciliations, credit card reconciliations, and all other balance sheet accounts

       Process accounts payable and manage vendor payments

       Revenue recognition

       Perform daily support activities, including helping manage and track fixed assets with detailed depreciation schedules

       Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations and underlying analysis in areas such as cash, prepaid expenses, deferred charges, fixed assets and accruals

       Participate in the monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial close process

       Perform variance analysis on certain balance sheet and income statement accounts

       Assist with the annual financial audits

       Manage payroll and reimbursements

       Prepare monthly financial statements

       Interface with outside tax consultants with accurate and timely preparation of tax returns and various other local tax or reporting requirements

       Reconcile property settlement statements and record appropriately

       Perform and report unit economic analysis on deals

       Implement operational procedures to streamline processes and create controls

We’re looking for teammates who have:

       3 + years relevant experience

       Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, CPA preferred

       Experience with QuickBooks, Microsoft Excel, Google Apps, and Bill.com

       Analytical and organizational skills coupled with the ability to multitask effectively without compromising the quality of work

       Experience working in a start-up environment a plus

       Self-starter, with strong ability to work with minimal direction and to set effective project projects
